Formula
For Making Three Gallons Of Breakfast Cocoa
(* All measurements
should be level.)
This should not be allowed to boil. Either make it in a large double-boiler, or a
large saucepan or kettle over water. Mix the cocoa with enough cold water to make
a paste, and be sure it is free from lumps. Heat together the milk and water, and
pour in the cocoa; then cook at least an hour, stirring occasionally.

Note: These recipes date from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Use substitute ingredients
when the recipe calls for it, i.e., "Baker's Cocoa" is no longer sold in
stores. Adjust substitute measurements as needed. It is recommended that you stick
to the BAKER'S® brand wherever possible for the most accurate results.
